About the Role

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team as a Mobile Radiologic Technologist. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for performing portable x-rays in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and correctional institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to patient locations to perform portable x-rays using a company-provided vehicle equipped with a compact, portable x-ray machine (DR)
  • Determine proper electronic and technical factors based on patient needs
  • Follow ALARA principles for reducing radiation exposure
  • Prepare accurate physician and patient orders and transmit reading as required in a timely manner
  • Set, adjust, and operate a variety of electronic equipment to obtain diagnostic images that may include EKGs and Holter Monitor
  • Ensure the equipment is available and in working order prior to shift start and shift end
  • Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading radiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions as directed
Requirements
  • Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including one or more of the following: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R), Limited Scope X-ray Operator in accordance with State-specific requirements, State x-ray license (if applicable)
  • Has a valid state-issued driver's license and maintains a good driving record
  • Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends
