Position Overview:
Inceed is collaborating with a prominent Upstream Oil and Gas firm in search of a proficient Lead Regulatory Compliance Specialist who possesses a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry. This position is primarily focused on supporting corporate environmental regulatory compliance initiatives in WTR (Midland) while also extending support to other regions as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, facilitating due diligence evaluations, and providing assistance during crisis management scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guarantee compliance with corporate environmental regulatory activities, policies, and procedures, emphasizing WTR (Midland) while assisting other regions as needed.
  • Environmental Due Diligence: Execute thorough reviews and evaluations for acquisitions, divestitures, and operational properties to confirm adherence to environmental regulations.
  • Emergency Response Support: Deliver expertise and assistance in environmental crisis management and emergency response strategies, particularly concerning spills and other environmental emergencies.
  • Regulatory Support: Provide regulatory guidance and assistance to company personnel as required to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Training and Development: Design and implement training programs related to environmental compliance, ensuring that staff is knowledgeable about regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5-10 years of experience in environmental and/or oil and gas operations, ideally in a regulatory compliance role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations relevant to the oil and gas sector.
  • Capability to operate in diverse environments, including office settings and fieldwork, with proficiency in utilizing environmental testing and sampling equipment.
  • Strong physical ability to traverse rugged terrain, ascend ladders or steps, and lift heavy equipment (50 to 60 pounds) to waist height.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle operation standards for travel.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Travel and Education Requirements:
  • Must be available for travel and able to meet company standards for driving a company vehicle.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related scientific field OR a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant environmental and/or oil and gas operations experience.
