AvaMed Workforce is seeking a highly skilled Marriage and Family Therapist to provide clinical treatment interventions and counseling services to patients in a correctional facility setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and provide brief counseling, group therapy, and individual counseling services to patients.
- Consult and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive care and treatment of patients.
- Develop and implement transitional care plans to link patients with community resources and services upon release.
- Conduct assessments to determine appropriate level of intervention, education, and counseling services for patients.
- Provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy for individuals with Substance Use Disorders in 1:1 and group settings.
- Assess patients preparing for release from the correctional facility and provide education and counseling services to promote life skills and strategies for coping with issues related to SUD.
- Develop and contribute to treatment and care plans, review patient files, and complete reports and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with care teams, patients, and other disciplines involved in patient care.
- Document and evaluate patient progress, facilitate discharges and transfers, and work with institutional partners to assess patient participation and progress in services.
- Must have a Marriage and Family Therapist license by the California State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
- 40 hours per week, Tuesday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm.
- Rate: $63-$70/hr ($2,520-$2,800/week).
- Status: Independent Contractor.
