As a Port Border Operations Subject Matter Expert, your role will involve offering expert advice and analytical support on traveler processing systems. You will work closely with various government bodies, industry stakeholders, and educational institutions to evaluate and implement innovative technologies that align with CBP's operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance on traveler processing systems to CBP
  • Engage with both governmental and non-governmental organizations
  • Oversee program initiatives and monitor their advancement
  • Organize meetings and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Participate in demonstrations of new technologies
  • Collaborate with project leaders and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Over 10 years of experience in CBP operations
  • Extensive understanding of CBP protocols and procedures
  • Proficient in developing use cases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related discipline
  • Knowledge of various CBP systems and processes

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CBP suitability is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain stationary for more than 50% of the time
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Occasional movement within an office environment
