About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power System Technician to join our team in the Detroit, MI area and work in other states as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing lead electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform lead electrical work, including installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Source or fabricate replacement electrical components, utilizing knowledge of electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and effective project completion.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial electrical work, with a strong background in telecommunications an advantage.
  • Journeyman Electrician License preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently assess job requirements and carry out assignments based on written and oral instructions.
Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on previous experience and current certifications.
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 times base rate, reflecting the employee's productivity and overall performance.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation after 90 days, pro-rated for the first year based on start date.
