Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on location and experience.

Job Description:

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. You will work under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and Imaging Services Director, utilizing your technical expertise and initiative to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and patient safety.

  • Perform patient studies according to established protocols, including placing specified coils close to areas of interest.
  • Operate imaging and other equipment devices to provide quality diagnostic services, adjusting transmitters and receivers as needed.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, addressing concerns and exhibiting tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of continuous experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • A valid license in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Experience with hospital software applications.
