Job SummaryWe are seeking three highly collaborative faculty members to join our team as Clinical Assistant/Associate Professors in Physical Therapy. The successful candidates will have expertise in Physical Therapy (Anatomy, Musculoskeletal, Cardiorespiratory, Acute Care, Pelvic Health, Pediatrics, and Neurology) and will be part of a group of faculty members who will be hired at Auburn University to be the core faculty for the brand-new Physical Therapy Program.
Responsibilities- Teach entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy courses in support of the program.
- Advise and mentor DPT students.
- Direct student clinical case-studies and projects.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of curricular changes for the program and school.
- Provide institutional service as assigned by the department head and engage in professional service within the discipline.
- Physical Therapist with Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the time of employment.
- Licensed or eligible for US-PT licensure in Alabama at the time of employment.
- Contemporary scholarship, practice expertise, and teaching experience in women's health, cardio-pulmonary therapeutics, neurological rehabilitation, geriatrics, pediatrics with anatomy, biomechanics/kinesiology/movement science, and/or applied neuroscience/electrophysiology practice environments.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience teaching in entry-level DPT education program is desired.
- Board certification or exceptional clinical experience is highly desirable.
- Record of advising, engaging, and mentoring DPT and/or PhD students.
