Nursing Services Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Services Director to join our team at Oklahoma Memory Care Institute. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, while also overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans, ensuring that residents receive individualized care that meets their unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including medical, dietary, and activities, to ensure seamless care and services for residents.
  • Conduct regular rounds to ensure that nursing staff are performing their duties in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Requirements:
  • Current, unencumbered RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
  • Leadership and supervisory ability, with a willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care.
