About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at a top-rated hospital in Dubuque, IA. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as codes and rapid response teams, to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes, in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, with a focus on night shifts.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
  • Active certifications in ACLS, AWHONN, and NRP.
  • Ability to work every other weekend, including holidays, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
