Job Summary

The Resident Regional Director of Operations is a key leadership role within ABM Industries, responsible for overseeing the Environmental Services Department. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide direction, motivation, and guidance to the Environmental Services team to achieve established standards and meet customer satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance with accreditation and other regulatory requirements through practice and policy.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead and/or support key Environmental Services initiatives, project teams, or regulatory preparedness activities.
  • Operational Management: Plan, organize, and direct activities of the management team and hourly associates to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient operations.
  • Customer Service: Promote a customer service mindset at all times to both internal and external customers.
  • Process Improvement: View everything with a process improvement mindset and initiate new ideas to expand the department and company.
  • Financial Management: Ensure the department meets its fiscal responsibilities and operates within established budgetary guidelines.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Create, distribute, and maintain all necessary reports and documentation for the department.
  • Team Development: Develop and coach the management team to ensure fullest potential is reached.
  • Personnel Management: Recruit and develop personnel, ensure work assignments and schedules meet department and facility needs to maintain quality standards.
  • Training and Development: Ensure department Training Programs are being conducted within appropriate timeframes.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order all supplies/equipment through approved vendors.
  • Contract Management: Oversee all department-related contracts with outside vendors.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all ABM Healthcare Support Systems and programs are in place in accordance with Regional Director of Operations.
  • Customer Focus: Champion all departmental TQM/Customer Service Initiatives and ensure that clients' needs are met at all times.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively, and ability to handle and resolve problems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in a leadership role within the Healthcare field with 400 beds or more.
  • Skills: Experience utilizing OSHA guidelines in prevention of safety and health hazards, ability to use a personal computer with a Windows environment, and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and other assorted business software.
