The Lead Sustainability Architect will be responsible for overseeing a team of design specialists and other professionals in the pursuit of grants and the development of sustainability initiatives and programs.
Key Responsibilities- Directs and mentors team members in crafting engaging, informative, and well-structured presentations and grant proposals focused on sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Coordinates the planning and execution of special events aimed at enhancing the visibility of the organization's sustainability objectives, ensuring compliance with educational and building standards.
- Facilitates and engages in campaigns to promote sustainability awareness within the community.
- Collaborates with various stakeholders, including local, state, and federal agencies, service providers, and non-profit organizations, to identify funding opportunities and develop sustainability projects.
- Builds and nurtures partnerships with external organizations dedicated to sustainability and environmental initiatives.
- Works alongside other departments to prepare applications for potential grant funding.
- Maintains and updates the Sustainability Initiatives Unit's website, incorporating feedback from team members as necessary.
- Assists in the coordination and outreach of educational programs related to sustainability.
- Organizes information, develops presentations, and delivers them as required.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional experience in managing sustainability projects or programs. Experience in facilities design and architecture is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Architecture, or Marketing from an accredited institution.
