- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance as needed, including coordinating with process servers and arranging law office activities.
- Research and Preparation: Assist lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and supporting client meetings and filing motions.
- Document Drafting: Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence under the guidance of a lawyer, including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits.
- Discovery Management: Propound and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production of documents.
- Education: ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, talent for writing and grammar, high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills.
- Certifications: Preference given to candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education.
