Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Dignity Health. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients, from routine check-ups to complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Comprehensive Medical Care
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, lifestyle, and personal preferences
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, including physical exams and diagnostic tests
  • Communicate Effectively with Patients and Healthcare Teams
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
    • Provide clear and concise medical information, including test results, diagnoses, and treatment plans
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare, working closely with patients and their families to develop personalized care plans
  • Document Medical Findings and Treatment Plans
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans, including test results and other relevant information
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, including accurate coding and billing for services provided
  • Collaborate with Specialists and Other Healthcare Professionals
    • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare providers, to provide comprehensive care to patients
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve patient outcomes
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers, including medical students, residents, and other physicians
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, including reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety, including developing and implementing new policies and procedures
    • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and other relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
  • Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program in Family Medicine

Pay Range

$144.27/hour
