Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of OES machines, equipment, and building facilities. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of maintenance equipment, tools, and work areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and install machine components to ensure safe and efficient operation of production equipment
  • Remove and replace molds for daily operation
  • Troubleshoot systems to determine causes of machine failure and recommend solutions for repair
  • Collaborate with machine operators to understand the nature of machine failures or component fabrication needs
  • Design, fabricate, and weld machine components or fixtures to ensure proper functionality of facility equipment
  • Record details of machine malfunctions and required adjustments
  • Conduct test runs of machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
  • Perform routine analyses and calculations, and recommend changes in equipment, products, or test methods
  • Repair building and grounds equipment, fixtures, and tools as necessary to ensure safety of all employees
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on facility equipment as scheduled
  • Follow daily assignment schedule
  • Clean and prepare machines for next day's run, including mixer
  • Start up machines and robots before production
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED desired
  • Able to speak and comprehend basic English
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Concrete knowledge preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Working at heights about 4 ft. (on ladders and/or platforms) is common
  • Environmental conditions involve generally indoor work, but frequently working around very hot equipment and in tight spaces
