About the Role

As a highly skilled Nurse Specialist at UCHealth, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients undergoing solid organ transplants and thoracic surgery. Your expertise and experience will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialized nursing care for patients with complex medical conditions, prioritizing their needs and well-being throughout their hospital stay.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and quality by identifying areas for improvement and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Colorado.
  • A minimum of 6 months of nursing experience, preferably in a similar acute care setting.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or equivalent.
