Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Housekeeping Associate to join our team at Samoset Resort. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our timeshare units, providing exceptional guest service, and upholding the Samoset Standards of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strip and remake beds, ensuring a clean and comfortable sleeping environment for our guests.
  • Scrubs all kitchen appliances and replenishes supplies, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Vacuums rugs and spot cleans upholstered furniture and draperies, paying attention to detail and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Dusts furniture, washes walls and woodwork, and cleans windows, door panels, and sills, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Empties and cleans wastebaskets, bags trash and waste, and sweeps patios and cleans patio furniture, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our guests.
  • Scrubs shower, tub, sink, and commode, replenishes bathroom supplies, and replaces light bulbs, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Renders personal assistance to patrons as needed, providing exceptional guest service and upholding the Samoset Standards of Excellence.
  • Cross-trains for laundry, room attendant support, or house attendant as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • Keeps room attendants' carts neat and clean, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • No prior experience or training is required, as on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations, to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet conditions and strong odors and/or skin irritants from various cleaning ingredients.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
