Rail Yard Operator

We are currently seeking an entry-level Rail Yard Operator to join our team at the UP Dallas Terminal in Wilmer, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of railcars within our yard.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating a jockey truck to move 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the yard.
• Performing various groundperson duties, such as climbing on and off railcars, locking and unlocking tracks, and putting in and taking out inner box connectors (IBC's).
• Assisting packer operators in loading and unloading equipment using hand signals.
• Stacking and unstacking chassis as well as loading and unloading chassis racks.

In addition to your physical duties, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and following company policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a 7-year background check, and meet other general requirements for employment with Pacific Rail Services.
