Project Engineer Facilities and Civil Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Civil Engineering Project Engineer to join our Engineering Department in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing investments related to new installations and refurbishments in our plants worldwide.
Main Responsibilities- Lead project design teams for facilities, civil infrastructures, and industrial buildings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, group standards, and policies.
- Supervise the release of technical documents for permitting and manage technical discussions with local authorities.
- Guarantee a transparent and fair tender phase, compare and revise offers from suppliers, and manage project milestones until completion.
- Coordinate and support other disciplines and trades, ensuring clash detection and resolution of interferences.
- Supervise and manage the execution of industrial investments, adhering to health and safety, food safety, and technical specifications.
- Support the start-up of new industrial buildings and provide assistance to the Production department as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation storage and continuous update of design packages in line with Ferrero Engineering standards.
- Master's degree in building engineering, architecture, or structural engineering.
- 8+ years of work experience in construction, with proven technical leadership and project engineering experience in design and construction of complex industrial buildings.
- Proven methodological background and organization to enable effective working performance in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Ability to work in a team, coordinate different disciplines/trades, manage subcontractors, and manage technical discussions for permitting.
- Availability to travel to different Ferrero plants/construction sites.
- Reporting capabilities, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take independent decisions on construction sites in line with group policies.
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to relate with different functions.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to provide leadership to multiple disciplines in a large and complex organization.
- Proactive attitude, result-oriented, project ownership, and ability to organize independently.
Fluent in English, with fluency in additional languages highly preferred.
