Intermediate Care Unit RN Supervisor

Position Overview:
This role involves providing leadership and oversight of unit staffing while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the achievement of clinical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to performance assessments.
- Assess daily patient care requirements and allocate patient care assignments, ensuring appropriate care is provided.
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues impacting desired outcomes.
- Address patient care complaints through established protocols.
- Provide input on hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensure.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent verbal communication and active listening.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- Regular lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry.
- Regular visual acuity for near and far distances, including color differentiation.
- Frequent olfactory recognition.
- Regular auditory communication and recognition of body sounds and alarms.
- Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs and patient handling.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
- Rare crawling and running.
