Machine Shop Supervisor

PACCAR Winch Inc, a leading industrial manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead a team of skilled machinists. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring a culture of safety and quality in the machining department.

• Manage daily activities of the Machine Shop department, ensuring efficient production and quality control.
• Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to the team, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
• Plan and oversee machine production, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining and tooling processes and procedures.
• Monitor machining operations, identify problems, and implement solutions to decrease cycle times and efficiency of setups.
• Stay current on machining technology, learning new techniques and operating new machines.
• Work collaboratively with other departments, including tooling, inspection, and production and assembly.
• Ensure machine maintenance is performed by operators and verify preventive maintenance duties are accomplished in a timely manner.
• Manage cross-functional projects, ensuring goals and timelines are met.
• Supervise and train personnel to inspect for quality in all aspects of their jobs.
• Help machine operators with problem-solving, adjustments, and setups.

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or a related field, or equivalent technical training.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma is strongly desired.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and people skills.
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and safety management practices.
• Superior attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
• Flexible, dependable, and able to follow directions with a positive attitude.
• Desire to provide exceptional customer service internally and externally.

PACCAR Winch is a manufacturer of industrial winches, and employees work around heavy machinery. The ability to operate safely in a busy industrial environment is essential. Additional physical requirements include standing, walking, and bending 90% of the time, as well as squatting, kneeling, and holding hands above head.
