Job Summary

At DEFENDERS, we're seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Test professional to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler System Inspector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine tests and inspections of fire alarm systems, fire safety systems, and fire sprinkler systems to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Verify the proper operation of fire protection systems and prepare accurate and timely documentation of work performed.
  • Interface with customers to explain work performed and address their concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain and organize truck inventory to ensure proper response to customers' needs.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and maintain a strong work ethic.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience inspecting fire alarm products, wet fire sprinkler systems, or industry-related experience.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of personal computers and test equipment, such as multimeters, battery analyzers, and decibel meters.
  • Familiarity with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, including NFPA 72 and NFPA 25.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to clear a drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems and NICET Level I or equivalent in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with on-call availability and travel on short notice.
