Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Cashier to join our team at Michaels Stores in Burnsville, MN. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences for customers
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor and stock rooms
  • Assist customers with finding products and answering questions
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store recovery efforts
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Assist with Omni channel processes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate controlled, and some outdoor work may be required to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks. The Frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses.
