We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Specialist to join our team at MRP-Global in Philadelphia, USA.
Job Description:
A global pharmaceutical organization is looking for an experienced professional to provide IT support for laboratory-related hardware and software. As a Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for managing PC workstations, laptops, and printers, as well as providing high-level operating system, network, and application software support.
This is a 12-month+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions. The position will be based on-site in Philadelphia, USA.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage hardware inventory, including laptops and desktop systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware/software issues.
- Configure, install, patch, compile, and manage licenses for PCs within laboratories.
- Collaborate with external vendors and organizational owners to resolve problems with lab systems.
- Evaluate and ensure network and backup needs of end-users related to lab PC connectivity.
- Decommissioning of outdated equipment.
- Proven experience in building, replacing, and researching Windows 10.
- Experience working with recent and latest OS platforms (Microsoft, Linux, IOS).
- Proficient use of Remedy Service Request for incident management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools, such as Excel, Word, and Teamsite, for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Prior exposure to laboratory instrumentation, including Chromatography Data Systems, Mass Spec, and Empower, is a plus.
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $80,000-$110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
