Job Title: Software Project Engineer, Applications

TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. is a leading provider of advanced wireless communication solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Engineer, Applications to join our team.

Job Summary

The Software Project Engineer, Applications will be responsible for leading the definition, design, and development of intuitive graphical user interfaces and networking applications for our wireless communication products. This role requires strong technical leadership and project execution management skills, as well as the ability to work well independently and within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders to capture user application product and verification requirements, define delivery execution strategies/schedules, and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Lead application architecture definition/documentation, ensuring a consistent user experience and variant segmentation across our suite of tactical communication applications.
  • Collaborate with UX Design to develop intuitive visualization techniques for PC desktop, web, and mobile user interactions.
  • Document and present design alternatives using good personal practices and corporate defined engineering processes.
  • Develop relationships with team members built on trust and respect.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of five years industry experience developing user interface applications and three years of technical leadership.
  • Experience managing and implementing contemporary user interface solutions.

  • Strong technical leadership and project execution management skills.
  • Working well independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following domains: JavaScript/React, Express, Electron, Windows.NET and WPF environments, iPhone and/or Android user interface design.
  • A working knowledge of common revision control systems.
  • Strong artistic and creative ability.
  • The ability to think from a user's perspective.
  • An understanding of web-based services and IP networking.
  • Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong initiative, proactive work ethic, and prioritization skills.
  • Trustable judgment and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective execution and decision making.
Physical Demands
  • Able to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch, talk and hear.
  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently required to use office equipment such as PC, printer, telephone, etc.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
