Nurse Leadership Opportunity in Apollo Beach

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling, managing practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138-bed community hospital providing care to residents of Hillsborough and Manatee County. What You'll Need:
- Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- American Heart Association PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and utilize PC skills.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000 per year
