Radiation Oncology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at the University of Michigan Health System. As a key member of our Ambulatory Care Services, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
About the Job
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 months of Radiation Oncology RN experience within the last three years and a strong understanding of oncologic conditions, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral therapy, and infusion. You will be working closely with patients undergoing radiation therapy, providing culturally sensitive, age-specific team-based care models.
Responsibilities
- Accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care
- Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources
- Triaging/assessment of high acuity patients, therapy education, procedural education, medication administration and management
- Responding to clinic emergencies, port maintenance, collaboration with multiple disciplines/infusion/scheduling/lab management
