Veterans' Audiological Assessment Specialist

We are seeking an Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This is a rewarding role that offers opportunities to serve and make a positive impact in the lives of those who have served our country.

Job Summary

This position will involve reviewing and assessing 3-6 Veterans per day, on average. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Role

In this role, you will conduct medical assessments using the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. You will also complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the computer portal, which forms the medical evidence for the VA to decide the veteran's benefits. It is essential to note that this position does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices.

Requirements
  • Auditory Doctorate (Au.D.) from an ASHA Accredited school
  • Current license as an Audiologist
  • Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
