Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients, including those with complex conditions such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, and chest pain.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Document patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Indiana.
  • At least 18 months of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Ability to work a 3x12 hour night shift schedule, with every other weekend required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
