Position Location

This role is based in the picturesque Lihue, Kauai.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is vital in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional delivery services. With minimal oversight, drivers are responsible for upholding product quality, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain open communication with Supervisors, demonstrating strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Report directly to the Supervisor or General Manager at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Receive customer invoices and routing details from the warehouse. Ensure accuracy in the total load of orders for each route.
  • Collect proof of delivery signatures, manage COD payments, and obtain necessary approvals for returns or credits.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the delivery vehicle, completing daily inspections and submitting reports to the Supervisor.
  • Complete all logs and reports related to Safety, Sanitation, Mileage, Delivery Route, Product and Vehicle Temperature, as well as any Incidents or Accidents before concluding the workday.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Assist with fish wrapping, warehouse tasks, and loading other delivery vehicles as needed.
  • When required, pick up and deliver shipments to various cargo airlines or shipping companies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license from the State of Hawaii.
  • Acceptable driving record as per State of Hawaii regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment, particularly with confidential information.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

This position reports directly to the General Manager and involves daily interactions with employees across various departments. Effective communication with both colleagues and customers is essential.
