Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal/Senior Principal Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team in Gilbert, Arizona. As a key member of our cross-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading the requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning, and interface definition efforts for the spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
  • Support interface/communication with program, functional, and subsystem leads.
  • Assist with trade studies, design optimization studies, system performance assessments, mission analysis, and timelines.
  • Prepare review/briefing material for working group meetings, reviews, and program status.
  • Provide on-floor support of integration, testing, and operational readiness of spacecraft and payloads.
Requirements
  • Systems Engineer 3 - BS Engineering degree and 5+ years of experience or master's degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Systems Engineer 4 - BS Engineering degree and 9+ years of experience or a master's degree and 7+ years of experience.
  • Previous engineering experience, preferably on space programs or satellite operations.
  • Self-starter with strong technical problem-solving skills, an aptitude for understanding system and subsystem interactions, and initiative to drive product development to closure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in space systems, spacecraft design, or mission operations.
  • Experience in systems engineering functions including requirements development, decomposition and allocation, verification planning, system architecture, Technical Performance Measurements, and CONOPs development.
  • Understanding of spacecraft/space system integration & test, launch, and/or mission operations.
  • Requirements Management Tools such as DOORS, and various analysis engineering tools, such as MATLAB.
