Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their visit, answering questions and handling complaints in a professional manner.
  • Cafe Environment: Maintain a clean and inviting cafe environment from opening to closing, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
  • Menu Suggestions: Offer menu suggestions, remember customer preferences, and upsell items to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Knowledgeable Service: Stay informed about coffee trends and provide knowledgeable service to our guests.
  • Transaction Handling: Handle transactions accurately and ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A high school education or equivalent is preferred, and at least one year of experience as a Barista or in a related customer service position is also preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: The ability to work long hours, as needed, and to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly.
  • Communication Skills: Fluency in English and the ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations, with the ability to multi-task on a continuous basis.
  • Availability: The ability to work early morning AM positions and weekend availability.
