This role offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician provides individualized patient care by attending to personal needs and comfort. This includes assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, and reporting changes to nursing staff.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Assist with blood draws, phlebotomy duties, and other clinical tasks as delegated by nursing staff.
  • Participate in shift report and bedside report to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, using electronic medical records systems.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Previous experience in an acute care setting is preferred, but not required.

Candidates should possess a strong foundation in patient rights, medical terminology, aseptic technique, and infection control best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience in an acute care setting is highly desirable. Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) from the Arizona State Board of Nursing is also preferred.
