Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring welding equipment, interpreting welding symbols, and constructing prints. They will also be required to visually inspect their own welds and ensure compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure welding equipment in line with the WPS and possess a comprehensive understanding of it.
  • Pass the D1.1 bend test for 1.0" A-36 plate and the 1688 HY80 bend test for 2" plate.
  • Proficiently use a grinder for pre-weld joint preparation and post-weld cleaning.
  • Interpret welding symbols and construct prints.
  • Visually inspect own welds and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Assist senior Welder/Fabricators when required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of welding experience in a production setting or completion of a weld certification program from a technical school.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, walking, and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NAVSEA 1688 welding exposure.
  • Proficiency in GMAW, GTAM, and SMAW methods.
  • Background in heavy structural, Military, or Aerospace welding.
  • Operation of overhead crane.
