As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of industrial, commercial, or government property, including buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, and athletic fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain grounds by cutting grass using push or riding mowers, trimming hedges, and edging around walks, flowerbeds, and wells.
  • Repair structures and equipment, including fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings.
  • Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs, and water lawn and shrubs during dry periods.
  • Remove snow from sidewalks, driving areas, and parking areas around government facilities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of tools and motorized equipment required to maintain the grounds.
  • Coordinate with Government point of contact to assist in oversight or escort for contractors on large-scale beautification or renovation projects.
  • Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Knowledgeable of all current safety policies, procedures, and personal protection equipment (PPE) required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with three (3) years' related work experience.
  • US Citizen. Final Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 3 Background Investigation.
