Job Summary

The Paramedic - Emergency Response Specialist is a certified and/or licensed paramedic who plays a vital role in the Emergency Department patient care team. This individual collaborates with nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care, performing a variety of tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the nursing staff in providing patient care, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, well-organized, and safe patient environment.
  • Works collaboratively with the patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Two to three years' experience in a doctor's office or other ambulatory health care setting.
  • Certified EMT – P (Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic).
  • CPR (American Heart Association).
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
  • De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
  • PALS within 18 months of hire/transfer date.
