**About the Role:

As a Truck Driver Position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of freight between Service Centers and customers. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting the sales process.
  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, as well as straight trucks.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
  • Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies from a tractor and/or trailer.
  • Handle freight using motorized and manual equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
  • Repair damaged freight when necessary.
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
  • Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
  • Collect cash or checks for freight charges, maintaining required documentation.

**Requirements:

  • Possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements.
  • Possess one year of experience within the last three years or successful completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
  • Possess an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
  • Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier (FMC) regulations.
