We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Circulator Registered Nurse to join our team at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
About the RoleThe Perioperative Circulator Registered Nurse is accountable for the quality of care of nursing care rendered to patients. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care of patients in the perioperative setting.
Key Responsibilities- Collects patient health data relevant to the operative or invasive procedure and analyzes the data to determine nursing diagnosis and identifies expected outcomes.
- Develops an individualized plan of care to attain expected outcomes and implements the identified plan of care.
- Provides assistance with preparation of the patient, including proper positioning, prepping, pre-operative medication, and proper use of body mechanics.
- Consistently implements operational standards that promote the maintenance of patient rights, including protection of patient privacy, explanation of treatment processes, and maintenance of confidentiality of patient information.
- Assists staff in the set up and tear down of supplies and equipment in the operating room.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- 1-3 years related experience.
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- BLS certification.
