Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication challenges, playing a crucial role in helping students improve their communication skills and excel academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation and Assessment: Perform thorough assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform treatment decisions.
  • Treatment Planning: Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring that students receive targeted interventions to address their unique needs.
  • Therapy Services: Deliver therapy services to students individually and in groups, utilizing a range of techniques to promote effective communication and language development.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to enhance students' communication skills, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless implementation of treatment plans.
  • Record Keeping and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatments, utilizing data to inform treatment decisions and ensure accountability.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in IEP meetings and assist in defining students' goals, ensuring that treatment plans align with educational objectives.
  • Professional Development: Orient teachers and staff on effective speech and language development techniques, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, valid Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology, and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous school experience preferred, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities, and capacity to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Clearance and Compliance: Clear background check and fingerprinting, adherence to state and federal special education regulations.
