Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

South Shore Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join their team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the CT scanner, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the CT scanner, ensuring optimal performance and image quality.
  • Develop and implement procedures for effective utilization of the CT scanner.
  • Assess patient condition and prepare them for exams, explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Administer contrast agents and perform IV access, using sterile technique.
  • Review patient charts and requests with radiologists to ensure proper examination and diagnostic results.
  • Quality control images, maintain inventory, and adhere to safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • RT - MA - Radiologic Technologist (Massachusetts) license.
  • Preferred: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or higher.
