Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and implement individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Support Inclusive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
  • Provide Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student.
  • Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Utilize Assistive Technology: Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment to facilitate student participation and independence.
  • Support Social/Emotional Development: Monitor and address students' social/emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills.
  • Provide Ongoing Feedback: Offer ongoing feedback and support to students, celebrating their achievements and fostering a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Valid Teaching Certification: Possess a valid teaching certification or credential in Special Education.
  • Experience Working with Special Needs: Have experience working with young children with special needs.
  • Knowledge of Developmental Milestones: Be familiar with developmental milestones and best practices in early childhood special education.
  • IEP Development and Implementation: Have the ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
  • Patience and Empathy: Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children with diverse learning needs.
