Job Summary:
CoreCivic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a correctional setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring the well-being of inmates/residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to inmates/residents, including assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, licensed vocational/practical nursing staff, and non-licensed medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Attend sick call with physicians, prepare examining rooms and equipment, and perform emergency procedures as needed.
- Supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college, university, or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing.
- Current licensure in the state of employment.
- One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
