Cytotechnologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital - Baycare Health System. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform fine needle aspiration procedures, including robotic-assisted endoscopy, EUS, and EBUS guided procedures, CT, and US guided procedures.
  • Screen GYN cases and non-GYN cases, including rapid on-site evaluations in CT, US, IR, and endoscopy.
  • Mounting procedures, microscopy, thinprep, ascitic fluid, bronchial, esophageal, gastric, spinal, urine, cytolyt, assist, make smears, collection, onsite procedures, staining, GMS, PAP, immediate evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the Cytology department to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in cytology.
  • ASCP-CT certification and FL license required.
  • Community hospital work setting experience required.
  • Cerner EMR preferred.
