CHI Health and Creighton University School of Medicine are seeking a dedicated Neurologist to join our Department of Neurology in Kearney, Nebraska. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive neurological care to patients in a Center of Excellence with a primary interest in General Neurology.

This role is well-suited for professionals passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with a well-respected and experienced neurology team based in Omaha. You will have the chance to partner with our Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, Stroke Center, EMG-NCS Lab, and EEG Services, as well as participate in academic appointments if desired.

The successful candidate will have opportunities in General Neurology, work/life balance schedule, inpatient and outpatient services, ED consults, collaboration with a nurse practitioner, and more. We offer a lucrative compensation package, relocation allowance, 36 days of paid time off, CME allowance, malpractice & tail coverage, and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information.
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
    • Perform procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
    • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
    • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
    • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
