Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Comprehensive Community Health Centers Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical and administrative duties, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a provider, including preparing treatment rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting with treatments.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including greeting patients, taking medical histories, and preparing patients for exams.
  • Assist with minor surgery, positioning and draping patients, and passing instruments to providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including lab results, x-rays, and other medical information.
  • Screen telephone calls for referral and take messages for providers.
  • Administer injections of scheduled drugs, including narcotic medications, under the direction of a provider.
  • Compile and condense technical and statistical data for reports and records.
  • Update and maintain required logs, including patient records and inventory supplies.
  • Translate for providers and office staff as requested.
  • Assist in preparation of the office for a site review and audit.
  • Perform related work as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate required.
  • 2 years of experience preferred.
  • CPR Certified required.
  • Certification through AAMA preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Armenian preferred.
