Are you ready to take on a new role in the field of Medical Laboratory Science? LCH Lab. Corp. of America Holdings is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to contribute to our innovative laboratory environment. This position involves working in a fast-paced laboratory setting focused on cardiovascular health.
Work Schedule: The typical work hours for this role are Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Flexibility in start times is required.
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, or compliance with local regulatory standards.
- At least one year of experience in clinical laboratory testing or possession of a Master of Laboratory Science degree.
- Proficiency in Hematology, Coagulation, and Chemistry is essential.
- Covid vaccination or an approved exemption for medical or religious reasons is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a standardized color vision assessment is required.
- Willingness to work varied shifts as needed.
- Previous experience with LCH Lab. Corp. is advantageous.
- Certification from ASCP or AMT is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the suitability of specimens for testing based on established guidelines.
- Execute both routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and resolve issues as they arise.
- Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control measures as required.
- Maintain adequate supplies for testing and assist with specimen processing when necessary.
- Uphold a safe working environment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
