Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team. This role is essential in driving profitable growth through precise and timely cost assessments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and possess outstanding communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver accurate takeoffs from construction documents in a timely manner.
2. Maintain a comprehensive historical cost database for reference.
3. Prepare detailed estimates independent of client budgets.
4. Collaborate with Project Managers to evaluate bid documents and identify areas needing clarification.
5. Manage multiple projects by prioritizing tasks effectively.
6. Build relationships with subcontractors and solicit bids.
7. Define project scopes and compile bid packages.
8. Compare final cost estimates with previous budgets to assess variances.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with team members.
- Strong work ethic and professionalism.
- Provide two professional and two personal references.
