Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing high-quality patient care in the Emergency Room setting. This includes assessing patients, developing individualized plans of care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough and ongoing holistic nursing assessments to identify current and potential problems.
- Developing Plans of Care: Create individualized plans of care that address patient needs and concerns, and prioritize interventions to achieve positive outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Treatment and Procedures: Perform treatments and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures, and collaborate with the medical team as needed.
- Documentation and Quality: Accurately document patient information, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed in the State of New York, or permittee.
- Minimum of one year Med/Surg experience preferred, with a minimum of 2 years critical care or emergency room experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice, with knowledge of appropriate technology and practice standards for the area of responsibility.
- Demonstrates sound clinical skills, knowledge of Hospital structure, objectives, and standards of practice, positive communication skills, and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
