The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a mid-size flooring warehouse, ensuring work orders are completed accurately, and inventory is properly stored and maintained.

Job Description

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for:

  • Picking and staging daily jobs; preparing materials for daily jobs; accepting and storing inventory, and labeling inventory.
  • Ensuring work orders, status updates, shipping/receiving confirmations, and material returns are entered into the company inventory system.
  • Monitoring inventory to ensure accuracy at all times.
  • Processing freight trucks promptly.
  • Conducting monthly inventory counts, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling differences.
  • Supervising and coaching staff to perform assigned duties and develop skills and abilities.
  • Organizing and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and facility, as well as the outside area.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience must involve warehouse operations and management.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping documents, and material instructions.
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure for basic algebraic and geometric calculations.
  • Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Computer skills to use database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software.
  • Effective communication skills to speak clearly and persuasively, participate in meetings, and write clearly.
  • Vision to view documents, multiple screens, and read handwritten documents.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
