Archer Western Construction-Snell JV, a member of The Walsh Group, is seeking a Carpenter Foreman for the Atlanta Region, GDOT I-285 / I-20 East Interchange Project, in Decatur GA.

The Carpenter Foreman will supervise, coordinate, and schedule a crew of 3-15 construction employees daily; oversee carpentry operations in assigned areas, including construction and installation of structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate crew activities
  • Oversee carpentry operations
  • Read specifications and plans
  • Locate and mark site locations
  • Record personnel and production data
  • Provide assistance to workers
  • Examine and inspect work progress
  • Train and supervise workers

Requirements:

  • 5 years Construction Foreman experience preferred
  • ~5-8 years of verifiable construction experience required
  • ~ experience managing crews and subcontractors preferred
  • ~ Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors
  • ~ Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
