Nurse Clinician II

Job Summary:
The Nurse Clinician II is a key member of the Harris Health team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Outpatient Center. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, with the ability to apply standards, principles, and algorithms to complex clinical situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage patients with common problems in the assigned clinical area, recognizing when additional resources are needed.
- Apply evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and promote a culture of safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas, with Basic Life Support certification from a hospital-based American Heart Association program.
- Work Experience: One year of full-time RN experience in a nursing role.
- Communication Skills: Above-average verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and transmit clinical information accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Basic Life Support certification from a hospital-based American Heart Association program.
- Experience working in an outpatient setting.
